My name is Aayasha Kumawat, and I am currently pursuing my undergraduate degree from Symbiosis Centre for Media and Communication, Pune. As part of my development sector internship, I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to intern with SIDART in Jaipur.
Though it’s only been a week, this experience has already opened my eyes to realities I hadn’t previously considered. Gaining insight into the development sector, learning about laws and amendments that aim to protect vulnerable communities, and understanding the importance of awareness in preventing exploitation—all of this has deeply enriched my perspective.
I’ve also had the chance to understand the inner workings of a press conference, learn about POSH, and explore the art of writing engaging, informative content for social media. I am especially grateful to Mrs. Pramila Sanjay and the SIDART team for their guidance and encouragement.
SIDART’s mission to empower marginalized communities, particularly women and children, through education, rights awareness, and social action deeply resonates with me. I’m excited for what’s to come and honored to be part of this meaningful journey.
