I joined SIDART 3 months ago, when I witnessed the SIDART training at my house for the first time. Before SIDART, I was a shy and insecure girl who hesitated to speak up in front of an audience. But now, I am a confident individual who can coordinate an entire event, raise her voice in Panchayat Meetings and assist others to become empowered.

 

As far as the women in village are concerned, the customs of hiding face behind a veil or ghoonghat has become an uncommon sight. Women now, understand the need for becoming self dependent and empowered individuals. I plan to continue my education and aspire to become a teacher.
